Which one is best?”]A keynote is a talk that establishes the main underlying theme. At a conference, for example, it can be used to set the stage for the feel and energy of the event (opening keynote) OR end on a high note by incorporating the event theme and providing a memorable “call to action” (closing keynote). Connor’s keynotes are generally 45-60 mins, but can be shorter or longer to best fit your event. A keynote speaker MUST know their subject inside and out, and be able to offer insights or possible actions that are easy to understand and hard to forget (usually done through humour, personal stories and/or accomplishments). Aside from establishing rapport and engaging the audience, the biggest key is knowing having a strong knowledge of the audience and the challenges they face.
A workshop (sometimes called “breakout session”) typically offers more of an in-depth educational experience designed to provide more focused training than a keynote. Connor’s workshops include interactive activities that allow participants to work with each other at a level that is not possible during a larger keynote. They can be set up as a session where participants choose from a list of other workshops, OR as more of a “general session”, where participants are required to attend. Connor’s workshop durations average between 60-75 mins, but can be shorter or longer to best fit your event.

That’s why he incorporates live music in his talks to provide a truly unique experience compared to traditional speakers.
